We manage personal information in an open and transparent way, and where the law allows, you may deal with us without identifying yourself.
What we collect and why
We only collect personal information (other than sensitive information) that is reasonably necessary for our functions as a Registered Training Organisation, including your Unique Student Identifier (USI) and other AVETMISS-required student data.
If we receive personal information we did not solicit, we assess whether we could have lawfully collected it and, if not, destroy or de-identify it as soon as practicable.
How we use and disclose your information

In some cases, as required by law or the NVR Standards, we are required to make your information available to others (for example, national VET regulators). Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the overseas recipient does not breach the Australian Privacy Principles.
Government-related identifiers
We do not adopt a government-related identifier (such as your USI) as our own identifier for you, except where using identification codes issued by state-based regulators or the department responsible for the Unique Student Identifier.
Data quality and security
We take reasonable steps to ensure the personal information we hold is accurate, up to date and complete, and to protect it from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access.
Access and correction
You can request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if you believe it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.
